You will need to upgrade your Snow Leopard system to 10.6.6 (10.6.8 would be better) so that you have Applications -> App Store.
Avast antivirus for pc. If you have previously downloaded Mavericks, then you should be able to download it again via Applications -> App Store -> Purchased tab
If you never downloaded Mavericks, then it is NOT available for new downloads. In this case the only option is to make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple store and ask them to install Mavericks for you (this may or may not work).
Otherwise, you can download Yosemite again or go to Sierra. Actually since you are running Snow Leopard, you can download El Capitan
